SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association has launched a new trade show for companies in the business of plastics recycling and recycled products.
The re|Focus Recycling Summit & Expo will be held April 25-27, 2016, in Orlando. The show will focus on several aspects of the recycling industry, from manufacturing to sustainability trends.
"It's our commitment as plastics manufacturers to promote sound recycling practices as economic and environmental solutions to the ubiquitous nature of our products," SPI CEO William Carteaux said.
Orlando is a favorite destination for SPI. The association held its main trade show, NPE2015: The International Plastics Showcase, in the city in March. http://bit.ly/1QXbo9f
Another favorite destination for trade shows is Las Vegas, home to the Consumer Electronic Association's International CES. The event has become so popular that CEA recently announced it would have to cap attendance at 176,000 people starting next year.
The association said this year's show attracted a record 176,676 attendees.
"While these individuals are qualified industry professionals, we are reaching space capacity and simply can't accommodate every qualified individual to our show," said Karen Chupka, CEA senior vice president, International CES and corporate business strategy.
CEA also is tightening qualification criteria for those who want to attend the show and implementing a new registration fee structure. http://bit.ly/1FtGWlh
